I just bought a HDHR Prime last week because of their price break. The Ceton was my first choice... so I went ahead and bought one today at the new price. Call me crazy, but I'll probably be selling the Prime once I get the InfiniTV4.
To STC: A price drop like this makes me wonder what is on the horizon for the 6 tuner cards.
Or it could just be economics... Maybe $200 is the "sweet spot" for consumers. For me... 300 bucks was a little steep.

My personal roadmap is to buy the InfiniTV6 followed by a couple or three Echos then finally the Q once my trusty HTPC has worn out.

To borrow from the late, great Roy Scheider, "We're going to need a bigger boat." or in my case, a bigger HTPC. Fortunately, I live alone in a small apartment and only really need to stream one tuner to the bedroom (and another to the all purpose PC). I could do that now, but I'd rather wait until the Echo is released. I think my road map is to probably get the InfiniTV6 and an Echo and probably build a new HTPC at the same time. My current HTPC (and InfiniTV4 card) would go one of my siblings.stonethecrows wrote:My personal roadmap is to buy the InfiniTV6 followed by a couple or three Echos then finally the Q once my trusty HTPC has worn out.

Sure you won't miss some of the features on your HTPC that the Q might not have? I like the Q, but I am worried it won't have the flexibility of my HTPC. Especially where add ons like MCL are concerned etc.stonethecrows wrote:My personal roadmap is to buy the InfiniTV6 followed by a couple or three Echos then finally the Q once my trusty HTPC has worn out.

As I understand it, there will be a way for developers to create addons for the Q. I am hoping Ceton intends to include logos on all Qs by default.
