No sorry, its too deep for me. I was hoping you could translate it.

Well, at least I finally managed to get the guide to update. One of these days I'm going to try moving the antenna to the attic space to see if I can get ABC and NBC to come in. CBS is good now so it looks like I'll be good for the game.

I have been meaning to do this since XBMC Gotham 13.2

I have always had the LiveTV setup like yours since WMC server was released. I dropped it due to DRM not working. I thought this might be a good time to cut all the cords and go "Cold Turkey" and give the Streaming LiveTV a half a chance. I am using WMC as my guide. There are no tuners connected at this time.

So here is Kodi/SportsDevil/LiveTV.ru/St Louis at Dallas, Game2, Second Round, Western Conference, Stanley Cup Playoff Game.

Game starts at 13:00, 17:00 must be somewhere in Europe. Bit of a drag to have to go all that way to see a game. But, what do you expect for nothing.

No stream available just yet, it likely doesn't start till Game Time. Hopefully.

So much for that idea. Didn't work.

A little reading suggests I might be geo-blocked.

I got Fox FS1 working nicely and crystal clear HD. Broke SportsDevil in the process. Oh well, I would rather have one HD channel rather than a dozen 480's

Had a little better luck tonight.

I installed this Pulse Sports Build on Kodi, selected SportsMix, went to X01000Sports/LiveSportsChannels/and selected the NBCSN HD channel and watched a few NHL Playoff games tonight.

This Pulse thing is great for a rookie such as I. Everything is pre-configured, it has a nice looking skin, and most of the links work...rather than having to fight with them myself.

To find the Pulse Builds you have to figure out how to add Ares Wizard to Kodi. Then open Ares Wizard, Browse Builds, arrow down to Pulse, Select Pulse-Sport, then click Fresh Start. Fresh Start wipes out the mess I made of Kodi and installs a fresh build of Pulse. There are many other Pulse Builds that I have not tried yet.

Ice Films has a huge collection of TV shows and Movies. Go back into Ares Wizard, Click on Ice and install it, update everything it tells you to, and exit Ares Wizard.

Then go back into Pulse, and navigate to Video Add-Ons (you can hardly see it in the 2nd picture...bottom left... under the soccer players), select Ice/Popular/Game of Thrones/Season 6/The Red Woman 4/24/2016. Watched it today...I think I like that show. I'll start with Season 1....I might be able to watch them all by X-mas.

I finally figured out what I did to get AresWizard into Kodi.

(1) Go to System/FileManager/AddSource/
Select None
Type the web address you see in the picture.
Give it a name. I used AresWizard.
Click OK.

(2) Go into Kodi/System/Add-ons/Install from Zip.
Select AresWizard/hit enter
Select script.areswisard0.0.40.zip/OK-enter
Wait a couple minutes. When its done you will see AresWizard Add-on Updated.

(3) You might need to restart Kodi at this point.

(4) Open up Kodi/Programs/
Select AresWizard 0.0.40
There will be a little update, and BAM! Your in.

(5) Then you can go up into Post 49 to get some Pulse
Then Post 47 to get some Live TV
And Post 50 to get some Ice.

By the way.....You don't have to use a keyboard and mouse...I prefer installing things this way...Old habits.

My cheapo, 15 dollar Rosewill, works fine with Kodi.

Enjoy!

So....

If I still have a cable card in my Ceton InfiniTV 4 tuner PCIe card, and Time Warner copy protects (DRM) all their channels except locals, and I want to watch live tv and recordings in several rooms
I should stick with Windows 7 on the HTPC in the living room and Xbox/Echo extenders in the other rooms?

I still haven't found a "WMC Replacement" that can let me watch DRM content in multiple rooms other than WMC and Emby to watch all my movies (at home and away).

I kept my Win7 with extenders....I'll drive it till the wheels fall off.

I don't think there is a DRM replacement for WMC at the moment. Even going to Win10/WMCv12/Xbox/ offers no DRM advantage, that I know of. If you upgrade your Win7 to Win10 you will likely lose your DRM recordings.

This streaming project I have been playing with is an exploration to find out what I can get....without a tuner. Not quite sure where I am going with it.

480 is better than no-80

Free though, I like that.

It is good to see that someone is working on a guide..... dnaTVGuide looks promising, not quite working for me yet.

Initially, there was hope the Silicondust Kickstarter project would be the WMC replacement (they even had a 3rd party video posted on their Kickstarter page making that comment) - but it doesn't appear their DVR will be close to a WMC replacement - at least not with their first release (and they still don't have DRM working).

They've made a number of design decisions that will likely discourage many WMC users - like no program guide grid, relying on a cloud server to do anything with the DVR, and not supporting shared tuners when viewing the same channel on multiple devices.

With EPG123, and assuming the Xbox 360 extenders keep working, WMC could continue to work for quite a while. And for those looking for something close to WMC in the near term, TiVo's Bolt (especially if they release a 6 tuner model) may be the closest we can find to a WMC replacement.

Yeah, I've turned off auto update on my Windows 7 HTPC. I have 2 Xbox 360s and an Echo. I plan to ride this setup out for as many years as possible.

you might also want to remove/disable MSE, if you have it. MSE is an open door for unwanted updates also.

I haven't even tried HDHR-DVR yet since I am on Comcast. so I don't even know what it looks like. the other thing stopping me is I don't know what the other half is. what equipment will work to get from the DVR on to the flat screen is still not known. the recent comment on working towards compatibility with the Xbox One has me concerned. if I have to replace 6 360's with Xbox One's that is not going to fly.

the latest silence from Silicondust has me concerned that anything will be coming from that direction. any new information how Channels DVR is doing, other than the baby?
