HD Videos Stutter

Hi people!

I am building an HTPC but I have a problem with HD Videos. They stutter. The videos were encoded using Handbrake version 0.10.0.6534 - 64bit Version. The codec used is H.265. They videos were originally BluRay movies.

Here is the spec of the HTPC:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33Ghz
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Video Card: nVidia GT 740 1GB DDR5
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 plugged via HDMI Cable
OS: Windows 7 SP1
Drive: 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD @ 7200

For fun, I decided to plug my main computer to the TV and play the video from my main. As expected, the videos were running perfectly on my main. Here is the spec of it:
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40Ghz overclocked @4.30Ghz
RAM: 16GB DDR3
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6970 x2 in Crossfire
Resolution: 1920 x 1080 plugged via HDMI Cable
OS: Windows 7 SP1
Drive: 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD @ 7200

Or course, my main computer is way more powerful than the HTPC. And of course, I could run the videos from my main. But the point is not there. I want my HTPC to run those HD videos perfectly.

My question is simple... What part of my HTPC has to be upgraded for the video to run smoothly? Can I just upgrade one part or do I need to change everything? Hopefully, changing one piece of hardware will do the trick!

I suppose the shotgun troubleshooting approach might be the quickest fix. Pop another Video Card in there, or experiment with the drivers. Looks like th83 was unable to find a fix 3 months ago, NVidia might have fixed it by now.

This is very interesting... I always had faith in nVidia...

Anyway, I had a nVidia GeForce GT 620 in my HTPC before. I thought the stuttering was due to the graphic card not being strong enough to decode the videos smoothly. This is why I changed it for the GT 740... but it didn't change a thing.

I will do a quick test later. I will take one of the Radeon HD 6970 from my main and put it in the HTPC and see if the videos will run smoothly.
