NYC Cablevision shows now copy once?

#1

Since the great ZAP2IT/ROVI debacle of July 2015, I am noticing some channels that were once copy freely are now copy once. Can anyone in the New York area confirm that stations like MSNBC (723 in Brooklyn) are now copy protected? Who can you complain to about this? This makes it impossible to stream a show recorded on one windows machine to another.

Same in Central Jersey. MSNBC is now copy once. But 8/17/15 was not, 8/18/15 is so for me different date than ROVI cutover

Interesting. MSNBC's line up is now copy free as of today (9/23). Hopefully it will stay that way. I would say it had something to do with the Pope's visit, but yesterday's broadcast which began the visit (9/22) was copy once. Anyone else notice the change?

Spoke too soon. Apparently MSNBC is back to copy once. Now, so is CNN and Comedy Central. These were never copy once until a few days ago. I wonder if this has anything to do with Cablevision being bought out.

As of 10/01/2015 I am having WMC refuse to play back recordings of multiple copyprotected channels, including the past 5 days of Docto Who programs on BBCAmerica Channel 770 on Brooklyn Cablevision. Today Sundance on 786, IFC on 783, CNN on 725 and CNBC on 724 all seem to record but refuse to playback. They can be watched live. Is anyone else having this problem? Is Cablevision coding things as Copy Never?

Cablevision seems to have fixed ny problem by unbinding and rebinding my cablecard. The 5 days of copyprotected recordings are a loss, but new ones seem OK so far.
