(Fox is telling Verizon to set the Copy Once flag, and it doesn't have anything to do with Rovi; it's affecting MythTV, SageTV, NextPVR users, etc, and they're still using Gracenote for EPG)

Thanks for this info. Yea, I am on Fios, and I read the comments you linked to. It seems that Verizon got a request from Fox Entertainment Group to copy protect all of their cable networks. So I checked and all of these channels were affected too:

Big Ten Network
Fox Business Network
Fox College Sports
Fox News Channel
Fox Soccer Plus
Fox Sports 1 & 2
FX & FXX
FX Movie Channel
National Geographic Channel
Nat Geo Mundo & Nat Geo Wild

So, while it's disappointing to hear, it was just a coincidence that Fox requested this change the same week that WMC was switching to Rovi.

They aren't related.
