I don't think this is possible, but I figured I would confirm here. I would like to know if it is possible to remotely reboot a Cisco STA1520 tuning adapter. Every once in awhile I have issues where both of them start "wigging out" at the same time. I get repeated error messages in my HDHR Prime logs, about every 30 seconds, showing this over and over again:
20140810-16:28:55 CableCARD: tr/tr_init_rsp timeout error (cchost_tr_discovery:75)
20140810-16:28:55 CableCARD: Tuning Resolver reset
20140810-16:28:55 CableCARD: USB device 05A6:0008 connected
When this happens, I generally cannot tune any SDV channels. This last time, all I had to do was power cycle the TA's by unplugging them, and they were back in action once they booted up again. Since I can remotely access my HTPC (via TeamViewer), I can remotely reboot the Primes if needed, but I don't think there's a way to reboot the TA's...? If someone knows a way, that would be super-awesome!
Remote reboot of Cisco STA1520 TA?

Yeah, didn't think about that option. I was hoping for a way to send a command through the HDHR Prime that would cause the TA to reboot, since they are connected. Thanks for the tip!

Not much to add, except that I have read, that a simple lamp timer set to go off at 3 am and on at 3:15 am, solves the reboot necessary problem. Looks like you are not alone with this problem. TA's are not required, at present, in my location. I suppose the timer is a good enough Band-Aid solution until somebody figures out what the problem is and figures out a fix.
Are you able to get into the Tuning Adapter Diagnostic Screen? http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/doc ... 5082_B.pdf
This is some info from CableLabs explaining what is "supposed to" be happening. http://www.cablelabs.com/wp-content/upl ... 070105.pdf
