Does anyone know if Cox in Fairfax, VA locks down all (or some) programming to "copy once"?

Thx,
Bob

Bob,

I'm also in Fairfax County, and I don't see "copy once" restrictions on the content. However, the content on the HD channels of HBO, and other "premium" channels is "Protected," so if I record it on my Win 8 Media Center system, I can't copy it onto my laptop and watch it on my laptop. I can copy if from one hard drive to another hard drive on my media center PC, but I can only watch the media using the computer that it was recorded on. I can watch it on my main TV using an Xbox extender.

Some of the other "non-premium" channels also have some of their material "protected" as well. For example some of the ESPNHD channels, FXHD channel, and perhaps others are also "protected". I'm just hoping this "protection" thing doesn't continue to spread.
