Any plans to allow other devs to develop apps for Echo ? I'd love to buy one but without ability to access MY collection via Plex app (plex can transcode on the fly to any format that Echo natively supports ) I think I'd rather go for cheap HTPC due to WAF.

I'm pretty sure I remember Ceton touting a great app store at one point but this may have gone the way of analog outputs and DTS...

Well, the point is you're trying to solve a problem that (a) really doesn't exist today, but regardless (b) no one can say whether or not it exists on the Echo because the Echo isn't out yet.

In fact why not allow the entire remote to be programmable. Should support macros. Please use the same IR commands as the original MS...
