Changing (or removing) just an InfiniTV should not break DRM. However, the DRM calculation does give a high weight to network cards (which includes the InfiniTV), so if you change other things at the same time, you may run into difficulty.

If the LED is flashing blue, the tuner has been configured to be a DHCP client, but does not have an IP address. You need to get the PC up and press the reset network settings button in the InfiniTV Diag utility.

Recently, I've been having a problem with updating the Ceton card with the latest 1.0.9.5 firmware. I would update it via the Ceton diagnostic tool where it would correctly update it to 1.0.9.5. Reboot my PC and everything is fine. Both the Ceton diagnostic tool and web console page identifies the...

Multiple Ceton tuners (internal)--best install practices?

All,
I'm about to help a friend set up his 7MC with internal Ceton. I'm going to take the lessons learned from my experience over the last 6 months and, with luck, do a quick and smooth install on a brand new machine.
One difference: he has two Ceton cards that we'll be installing. I've not done...

I think the OP is referring to when the cards are in bridged mode. Therefore, each card should automatically receive its own IP address on the LAN.

I'm moving to another city and will be trying out FIOS. I currently use TWC with the Ceton PCI-E card. What do I need to do to prep WMC for the move? Will setting a new cable card erase all my scheduled series? Is there an way to print out a listing of my recorded series so I can re-input them in...

You really shouldn't have to do anything. I re-run TV setup on a daily basis (always testing things) and haven't blown away my recording schedule yet. That said, I suppose it's plausible it could happen.

Comcast here in Portland Oregon has made a handful of lineup changes, and added a few new channel numbers. in the past with my OTA/QAM tuners i would just rescan for the signal and add or change the channels. Now with my Ceton I don't see a way to make the changes. I have downloaded the current...

It is my understanding that the InfiniTV comes with an amplifier onboard to compensate for the signal loss associated with splitting the signal 4 ways.
That is correct

Has anyone seen this before? I've used this card successfully with both TWC and Suddenlink (I'm on Suddenlink now). At some point in time, not sure if it correlates to the latest firmware, I started getting the following behavior:
A cold power-on yields a perfectly functioning CableCard and tuner....
Last post
I don't remember offhand if Suddenlink uses Motorola or Cisco CableCARDs - if it's Motorola, double-check the DATA # with what the rep has. Certain commands will cause the card to generate a new DATA #.
Beyond that, I'd recommend opening a support ticket with Ceton.

I have version 1.0.3.2, which my Ceton diagnostic tool says is up to date. However, the page lists 4 more recent versions. Are ALL of these beta versions?
I'm having a few small issues and would like to try a newer firmware than 1.0.3.2, do I need to join the beta program?
Thanks,

After having it installed for almost two weeks now, I haven't lost a TA lock on the correct Tuner one time. Very happy.

is a two way amp required if you want to amplify your signl with a cablecard or will a standard one way amp work?
He didn't hook it up to an amp per se, supposedly just a splittler designed for Cablecards. I would think an amp might not be best to use unless you have a lot of line splits.
