I know that they want to make sure that the apps are solid etc. so the user experience stays high (+) for WP... but the updates take way too long to process.. It's something MS needs to work on going forward IMO.

It was strange when I found the option. My only option for eastern timezone was gmt-4:00. I've always used gmt-05:00

Technically, GMT is GMT all year round, so EDT (the Eastern Time Zone during Daylight Saving) is GMT-4:00

I connected inside the app. It found both my Win8 and Win7 computers. I rebooted the Kindle and both computers. The firewwalls on the computers allow the app thru.

Just finishing testing app updates as well. We are doing our best to get these out as soon as possible. Wp7 and iOS updates take a while to certify so we heavily test them.

We are also actively monitoring this as well just to ensure it isn't anything in the app causing the issue. Also can you make sure your services are the latest version as well. it seems like they are, just want to be sure.

The iPad 2 has impressive battery life compared to other tablets I have owned, and it blows any laptop out of the water. I would say the 10 hours battery life is definitely correct for continuous usage. In reality I often get a weeks usage between charges at a couple of hours use per day.
