I think dmagerl sent you down the wrong path. Before you get to the channel scan, WMC detects the tuners, and shows you the following screen:

A DVB-T tuner, regardless of which one you use, will be receiving the digital stream as broadcast, so no encoding is necessary. Encoding is only necessary when using an old analogue source.
The decoding is then done by your graphics card, not the tuner.

Good Morning Everyone,

Looks great! I do have to admire people if they are able to cut the cable , although OTA +7MC does make it a bit more bearable. Hopefully your OTA signal is good enough. I currently have my Silicondust HDHR and Hauppauge HVR-2250 working quite nicely in my system.
I am getting an Hauppauge DCR-2650 for Christmas. My question is, how do I add the 2650 without having to re-do the settings on my other tuners (which was a PITA!)
Is it possible?
Last post
I have passed the digital cable advisor so i am set there. I am currently only using the 2250 and HDHR for QAM, not OTA.
Bummer i can't save the settings and just add a new tuner. Guess it will be a pain, but oh well.
Thanks!

The CableCARD is not paired with the TV. It is paired with the tuner. So if you change tuners, you'll have to re-pair the CableCARD.

You can go to info about the show, and other showings will show it on the HD channel.
Here on TWC, the HD channels are 1000 higher than their SD counterparts (so if Comedy Central is 300, Comedy Central HD is 1300)

My mailman brought me a surprise this morning - the Hauppauge DCR-2650 I ordered to do some testing with. I just tossed a CableCARD in it and got it paired. Things seem to work when I'm using the CableCARD's channel map - as soon as I plug in the TA though, all tuning breaks, even non-switched...

FYI, Hauppauge support responded to me:
As of right now we are working to resolve TA support as currently we do not have support this. Our developers are working on an update for TA support which should be released in the next few weeks and I can inform you of the update’s release.
And before...

Good luck with the upgrade and continued smooth sailing. Make sure you disconnect one of the 2 Cisco TAs, as they do not play well together. Also, keep an eye out for Not subscribed or similar messages on SDV channels. These are not the SDV1 errors that occasionally pop up. About once or twice a...

You pretty much have to sacrifice a live chicken to get your Comcast CableCARD working.
