Hi all,
Just a quick post to see if any of our members are willing / able to make a small donation to help cover our running costs?
I completely understand that times are hard for a lot of folks and many people are unable to offer any financial support.
Please don't feel pressured into donating...

Hi, there is no suggested donation amount - any amount is much appreciated
Thank you to everybody that has donated

I recently upgraded the tuner card in my Win7 Media Centre PC. I went from a Hauppage NOVA-T 500 (dual DVB-T) to a Blackgold BGT3620 (Dual DVB-T & T2). This means I can now get the 4 Freeview HD channels (BBC1 HD, BBC HD, ITV HD and Ch4 HD). All the HD channels play and can be recorded without...

Hi,
I'm experimenting with Freesat Guide data. I'm using it over DVBLink 4.5.1
WMC Guide: I love the fact that it has the Repeat flag, original air date, and the HD Flags on some channels. The lineup I'm using is Sky Digital BBC London
EpgCollector: HD Flags where it has to, downloading over the...

Just ordered sky being installed in about a week, looks like a few people have started using the omnikey USB card reader in place of a Dreambox for reading the smart card. Anyone here been through the process and can share pointers/config?

With 100 days until the 2012 London Olympics kick off I thought I'd mention the TV coverage that will drown out everything else this summer.
All 24 BBC Olympic channels will be available in SD and HD for Sky, Freesat and Virgin viewers. Doesn't interest me, but I recognise that many people will...

In the US, the Olympics really isn't a very big deal.
I'm surprised. I've always thought it was a big thing in the US. You always do well in a wide range of events and have hosted the games several times.
As for not knowing about the Paralympics at all, that's shocking. I don't normally pay any...

As regular readers will know, I have been migrating from Vista to Windows 7 recently. The trouble is that I keep finding things that I do not like about Windows 7 Media Center. Recently I noticed that series recording is different.
On Vista, series recording is based solely on the programme...

Don't forget you can use keyword recordings as an alternative.
Yes indeed, although it means getting the keyboard out.
Or remote desktop.

Up until about a week ago I received Channel 4 HD through FreeSat in Media Center without an issue. About a week ago I noticed the channel had disappeared. I have tried doing some transponder scans and can't seem to pick it up again. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve it please?...
Last post
Yes, I am using TBS. I tried rescanning on there and it didn't pick up anything new and I can't see any other channels. Odd! Thanks for the reply though.

I have an annoying problem with reception of high-definition channels (DVB-T2) on my system, and I am trying to narrow-down the possible causes. Strangely, the standard-definition channels do not exhibit this problem. If you satisfy the following conditions:

Hi,
Having (as per my other thread) finally caught up and bought a HDTV, I'm re-evaluating my TV requirements. Whilst analogue capture from Virgin in SD was perfectly fine on a SDTV, it sucks big time on a HDTV. I'm considering Freesat as a replacement and wondered if it is a viable and practical...

Just a catch up here. With the death of my 7MC machine, as per my other thread, we were pushed into considering our options here. We've decided to stick with Virgin cable, as we have currently, at the moment. We even considered going with an all streaming solution, but actually the current...

Hi
I just got live TV working again in my Media Center (Freeview over the air) using DVBLink TV Source. New digital aerial on the roof last week, all channels are present I think but I can't play Dave ja vu in Media Center or on the normal TV Tuner.
Has this channel gone off air ?
Thanks.

On 14 June 2011, UKTV announced that Really would launch on Freeview on 2 August 2011, to facilitate this Dave ja vu's broadcast hours on the platform were reduced from 8am-4am to 2am-4am.
