Hi all,
Just a quick post to see if any of our members are willing / able to make a small donation to help cover our running costs?
I completely understand that times are hard for a lot of folks and many people are unable to offer any financial support.
Please don't feel pressured into donating...

Hi, there is no suggested donation amount - any amount is much appreciated
Thank you to everybody that has donated

ATSC vs. QAM - your opinions?

I'm interested in the possibility of putting up an antenna to get my locals using ATSC tuners instead of QAM, as I get them today.
I've been doing some reading about QAM vs. ATSC-8VSB. Basically, what I've found is that both occupy the same bandwidth of 6MHz. However, due to modulation differences...

I live in a rural area and have ota TV. I have a high gain antenna pointed at one tower, probably 60 miles away, give or take. Those two channels are right on the edge of my viewables. I'd say there's no problem about 75% of the time. The other channels are in the other direction 10-15 miles. Those...

EDIT: I found the problem. See my post on 3/1/2012 10:53PM (EST).

The first place I looked was for a channel map on the CableCARD tuner. I just didn't see that link on the page. I knew that the CableCARD would have all the correct information... if BHN changes the frequencies (which was not the case this time), I'm sure they'll push a new channel map down the...

Maybe if we'll lucky, they'll make a movie. It took multiple years, but they're finally moving forward with a 24 movie!

So ever since Blu-Ray came out I have been wanting this.. As you can probably tell by my Avatar I am an avid Star Wars (Nut, Geek, Fan) .. I can't help it.. I grew up in that era..Had the toys (still do) and I just grew up watching and enjoying the films for years.
I am not a huge Prequel Trilogy...

Now that we know WMC will be in Windows 8, I thought I'd go ahead and start this thread. After all, if I don't do it, someone else will. Being the helpful guy I am, I thought I'd save everyone the trouble.

On an unrelated note... you guys on the other side of the pond have to pay 20% VAT on your products??? Wow... and most Americans think they are over-taxed.
Just out of curiosity, what percent of income does the average worker pay in income taxes in the UK?

For those that peruse the WEC, they implemented some layout changes:

--The old TGB logo is on the top of the page
I wish they would remove that sidebar on the...

A quiet word would've sufficed, you didn't need to go to all that trouble, y'know shutting down forums, moving to some odd and practically unuseable website that google doesn't like, and THEN not letting me transfer my profile from the old TGB.
Anyway,...
